FDA Withdraws 2 MQSA Alternative Standards

Federal Register notice: FDA is announcing the withdrawal of two Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) alternative standards due to updated MQSA regulations. The standards being withdrawn are:

MQSA Alternative Standards #11 ‘‘Modifications in the Assessment Categories Used in Medical Reports”
MQSA Alternative Standards #12 “Assessment category for Post Procedure Mammograms for Marker Placement”

The agency is also amending its alternative standard entitled Alternative Standard #8 “Separate Assessment for Findings for Each Breast.” To view the notice, click here.
