Feds Sued Over Removing Web Site Health Info

Doctors for America, a health justice organization representing 27,000 doctors and medical students nationwide, is suing FDA, CDC, HHS, and the federal Office of Personnel Management over the removal of a broad range of health-related data and other information used by health professionals and researchers from publicly accessible government Web sites. The suit targets Trump Administration actions against so-called “gender ideology” and was filed by Public Citizen Litigation Group.

The complaint says that the removal of key Web pages and datasets “creates a dangerous gap in the scientific data available to monitor and respond to disease outbreaks, deprives physicians of resources that guide clinical practice, and takes away key resources for communicating and engaging with patients,” a Public Citizen statement says.
