Former FDA deputy commissioner **Deborah M. Autor** has joined consulting group Healthcare Innovation Catalysts (HIC) as chief executive officer. HIC provides advice to clients on regulatory affairs, clinical issues, compliance, federal partnership, and other strategic services.

Autor left FDA in 2013 after serving 11 years to join Mylan as senior vice president for strategic global quality and regulatory policy. From 2019 to 2021, Autor served as global head of regulatory excellence at AstraZeneca, where she led regulatory operations, policy, and intelligence for AstraZeneca submissions globally. Prior to joining FDA, she was a federal prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice, where the agency was her client.

Autor obtained her undergraduate degree from Barnard College of Columbia University and her law degree from Boston University School of Law.
