# Fresenius Kabi Gains Approval for Humira Biosimilar

FDA has approved a Fresenius Kabi BLA for Idacio (adalimumab-aacf), a biosimilar product referencing AbbVie’s Humira (adalimumab), indicated for a range of autoimmune disorders. The tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocker is a monoclonal antibody that binds TNFα and blocks its general cytokine effects, the company says. The biosimilar will launch 7/2023 under a patent settlement agreement with Abbvie, Fresenius says.
