Fu Named CDRH Expert-in-Residence for 1 Year

University of Michigan associate professor Kevin Fu has been named to a one-year term as an expert-in-residence with CDRH as acting director of medical device cybersecurity. The university says Fu’s position is within the Center’s Office of Strategic Partnership and Technology Innovation. It says he will further advance the agency’s strategic direction to strengthen the cybersecurity of the medical device ecosystem.

He also will work with the Digital Health Center of Excellence. At the end of the one-year term, Fu is slated to resume his regular duties at the university.
