Genmab Filing BLA for Large B-cell Lymphoma Therapy

Genmab says it will submit in the second half of this year a BLA for subcutaneous epcoritamab, an investigational bispecific antibody for treating patients with relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma. Epcoritamab is designed to simultaneously bind to CD3 on T cells and CD20 on B-cells and induces T cell mediated killing of CD20+ cells, according to the company.

The submission will be based on data from the company’s EPCORE NHL-1 open-label, multi-center trial evaluating the safety and preliminary efficacy of epcoritamab in patients with relapsed, progressive or refractory CD20+ mature B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Genmab says. In April , Genmab and AbbVie announced the topline results, and last month primary results were presented at the annual meeting of the European Hematology Association in Vienna, Austria.
