FDA has approved a GSK Consumer Healthcare NDA for Flonase Sensimist Allergy Relief (fluticasone furoate, 27.5 mcg spray) as an over-the-counter treatment for symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergies. Previously, the product was approved for prescription-only use. Flonase Sensimist provides non-drowsy, 24-hour relief of both nose- and eye-related allergy symptoms like itchy, watery eyes, nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy nose and sneezing, the company says.
