# Glaxo Recalls 1 Lot of Menveo

CBER says that GlaxoSmithKline is recalling one lot of Menveo \[meningococcal (Groups A, C, Y, and W-135) oligosaccharide diphtheria CRM197 conjugate vaccine\] solution for intramuscular injection 5 doses (10 vials) per package) as a precautionary measure since the associated batch was subject to a mechanical intervention executed during the aseptic filling operations, which is not supported by validation data. The agency [notice](https://www.fda.gov/BiologicsBloodVaccines/SafetyAvailability/Recalls/ucm567339.htm?ref=fdaweb.com) says the recalled product was manufactured by GSK Biologicals, Rosia, Italy, and was shipped between 1/4 and 1/16.

The company consignees of the recalled lot to stop distributing and immediately quarantine and return all units, FDA says.
