Glaxo Recalls 1 Lot of Menveo

CBER says that GlaxoSmithKline is recalling one lot of Menveo [meningococcal (Groups A, C, Y, and W-135) oligosaccharide diphtheria CRM₁₉₇conjugate vaccine] solution for intramuscular injection 5 doses (10 vials) per package) as a precautionary measure since the associated batch was subject to a mechanical intervention executed during the aseptic filling operations, which is not supported by validation data. The agency notice says the recalled product was manufactured by GSK Biologicals, Rosia, Italy, and was shipped between 1/4 and 1/16.

The company consignees of the recalled lot to stop distributing and immediately quarantine and return all units, FDA says.
