# Gottlieb Joins Illumina’s Board of Directors

Former FDA commissioner **Scott Gottlieb** has joined Illumina’s board of directors. Illumina says it is focused on DNA sequencing and array-based technologies, serving customers in the research, clinical, and applied markets.
