# Green Pharma Recalls SnoreStop Lot

Green Pharmaceuticals has recalled one lot of its SnoreStop NasoSpray after FDA testing found the product contained a microbial contamination identified as *Providencia rettgeri*. A [recall notice](https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/green-pharmaceuticals-inc-issues-voluntary-nationwide-recall-snorestop-nasospray-due-microbial?ref=fdaweb.com) says that while the microorganism is rarely associated with human illness, immunocompromised patients are at risk of severe or life-threatening adverse events, such as bacteremia/sepsis, pneumonia, invasive fungal rhinosinusitis, or disseminated fungal infection. To date, Green Pharmaceuticals says it has not received any reports of adverse events related to the recalled lot. SnoreStop is used to temporarily help stop or reduce symptoms of non-apneic snoring.
