Groups Ask Agency, Research Funding

Research!America and 75 other organizations have contacted Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to urge that Congress address two national imperatives:

approval of an FY 21 appropriations package that includes increased funding for Covid-relevant and strategically pivotal agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, FDA, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and National Science Foundation, with at least $250 million in additional funds for FDA; and
at least $26 billion to reboot crucial research at universities, academic medical centers, independent research institutes, and clinical trial sites.
