*Federal Register* notice: FDA has announced the availability of a guidance for industry on “Three-Month Extension of Certain Tobacco Product Compliance Deadlines Related to the Final Deeming Rule.” The document is intended to assist persons who manufacture, package, sell, offer to sell, distribute, or import for sale and distribution within the U.S. newly regulated tobacco products, roll-your-own tobacco, and cigarette tobacco in complying with the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. It provides a three-month extension that applies to effective dates and compliance deadlines for requirements under 5/10 final rule effective date, and to all categories of the newly regulated products, as well as the addictiveness warning requirement for roll-your-own and cigarette tobacco.
