Guidance on ANDA Cover Letter Attachments

FDA has posted a final guidance entitled “Cover Letter Attachments for Controlled Correspondence and ANDA Submissions.” The document is intended to assist ANDA sponsors with optional attachments that can be used when preparing cover letters that accompany controlled correspondence, original ANDAs, and amendments and supplements to ANDAs. The cover letter provides an overview of the submission and helps the agency ensure that it is properly triaged and assigned to the appropriate reviewers, the guidance says. The cover letter attachments have been designed as a checklist to reflect common types of information applicants are expected to address in their cover letters, it says.
