Guide on Combo Product Feedback Meetings

FDA has released a final guidance on Requesting FDA Feedback on Combination Products. The document discusses ways in which combination product sponsors can obtain feedback from FDA on scientific and regulatory questions and describes best practices for FDA and sponsors when interacting on these topics. The interactions can occur through application-based mechanisms, such as the pre-submission process and the formal meetings process. The agency says information sharing is key to the success of such interactions, and it should be “clear and sufficiently robust to minimize repeat interactions on the same question and enable FDA to provide clear feedback in a timely manner.”
