Guide on Drug Testing for Contaminants

Federal Register notice: FDA is making available a final guidance entitled “Testing of Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Maltitol Solution, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Sorbitol Solution, and Other High-Risk Drug Components for Diethylene Glycol and Ethylene Glycol.” The document provides updated recommendations on testing to help pharmaceutical manufacturers, repackers, other suppliers, and compounders prevent the use of high-risk drug components.
