# Hamilton Corrects Ventilator Software Over Error Message

Hamilton Medical is updating all Hamilton-G5 Ventilators that contain software versions 2.60 or older to prevent the user message “panel connection lost” and the device entering an ambient state. “The user error message is due to a blocked or terminated communication between the ventilation unit processor and the interaction panel processor,” a recall/correction notice says. The company is updating devices with a newly developed software version 2.80, to reduce the probability of the user message.
