# Home Care Pharmacy Compounding Violations

A 4/23-4/25/18 FDA inspection at Home Care Pharmacy of Palm Coast, Palm Coast, FL, found deficiencies in the firm’s practices for producing drug products. A just-released 5/4 [letter](https://www.fda.gov/media/139018/download?ref=fdaweb.com) says the deficiencies involved drug compounding regulations and adulterated drug products.

The letter says FDA cannot evaluate the adequacy of corrective actions described in the firm’s response to an FDA-483 because the response did not include sufficient information or documentation.

FDA acknowledges that on 2/26/18 the state of Florida approved Home Care Pharmacy’s relinquishment of its sterile compounding license. The pharmacy was told to respond with a list of specific steps taken to correct and prevent the recurrence of violations, with documentation for each step and a timetable for completing the corrections.
