# House Posts FDA Budget Mirroring Trump’s Proposal

The House Appropriations Committee 6/4 released FDA’s [budget bill](https://docs.house.gov/meetings/AP/AP01/20250605/118353/BILLS-119-SC-AP-FY2026-Agriculture-FY26AgricultureSubcommittee.pdf?ref=fdaweb.com) for FY 2026 that mirrors the Trump Administration’s budget proposal posted earlier this week (see story). The [budget proposal](https://www.fda.gov/about-fda/reports/budgets?ref=fdaweb.com) shows that beginning 10/1 the agency’s overall budget would decrease by 4% ($271 million) to $6.8 billion. This includes $3.2 billion, an 11% or $400 million cut, in discretionary budget authority, and $3.6 billion in user fees, an increase of 4% or $137 million compared to the FY 2025 enacted budget.
