FDA has published a guidance, *Application of Human Factors Engineering Principles for Combination Products: Questions and Answers*, with questions and answers on applying human factor engineering (HFE) principles to developing combination products. The [document](https://www.fda.gov/regulatory-information/search-fda-guidance-documents/application-human-factors-engineering-principles-combination-products-questions-and-answers?utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fsource=govdelivery) finalizes a 2/2016 draft and clarifies how the unique aspects of a combination product influence considerations within the HFE process. FDA says the guidance should be used in conjunction with two specific earlier guidances.
