FDA has posted an [ICH guidance](https://www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/GuidanceComplianceRegulatoryInformation/Guidances/UCM520942.pdf?ref=fdaweb.com) entitled “S9 Nonclinical Evaluation for Anticancer Pharmaceuticals: Questions and Answers.” The document is intended to address challenges sponsors have experienced when implementing recommendations on nonclinical evaluation for anticancer pharmaceuticals. It also encourages reducing, refining and replacing the use of animals in clinical trials.
