ICU Medical Infusion Pump Cleared

FDA has cleared an ICU Medical 510(k) for the Plum Duo infusion pump with LifeShield infusion safety software. The device features a touch screen with a “highly intuitive user interface” and two channels capable of delivering up to four compatible intravenous medications, the company says. Its cloud-based software provides new tools for drug library management. Additionally, the pump uses PlumSet cassettes with ICU Medical Clave needlefree connectors that are designed to help reduce infection risks, according to the company.
