iMedDo Selling Unapproved, Misbranded Drugs: FDA

FDA says the iMedDo Web site takes orders for NeuSilver Colloidal Silver and NeuKids lower dose silver for pets and children. A just-released 2/19 Warning Letter gives examples of Web site claims that provide evidence that the products are intended for use as drugs. Since the products are not generally recognized as safe and effective for the advertised uses, the letter says, they are considered to be “new drugs” under the law and cannot be legally introduced or delivered for introduction into interstate commerce without prior approval from the agency.

The Web site claims also indicate that the products are intended for use in animals as drugs, which also violates the law, FDA says.

iMedDo was told to take prompt action to correct the violations and to respond with a list of specific steps taken to correct the violations and prevent their recurrence, with copies of related documentation and a timetable for completion.
