Immusist Selling Unapproved, Misbranded New Drugs

FDA says its review of a Web site maintained by Immusist LLC, Gig Harbor, WA, determined that the company is selling two unapproved new drugs — Immusist Original and Immusist Natural — intended for use in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease. A 10/16 Warning Letter lists Web site claims and testimonials for the drugs under several disease headings.

The letter says the products are not generally recognized as safe and effective for the uses referenced in the letter and thus as unapproved new drugs. It also says the products are misbranded.

Immusist was told to take prompt action to correct the violations and to respond with a list of steps taken to correct the violations, with documentation of each step and a timetable for completing the actions.
