Info Collection on Device TAP Pilot

Federal Register notice: FDA has submitted to OMB a proposed information collection entitled “Voluntary Total Product Life Cycle (TPLC) Advisory Program (TAP) Pilot.” The pilot was agreed upon as part of the medical device user fee commitments for fiscal year (FY) 2023 through FY 2027. The agency says the program is intended to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of process improvements to its interactions with participants. For example, a key goal of the pilot is to improve various aspects of medical device development and to increase the predictability and reduce the time from concept to commercialization by facilitating robust early engagements with FDA, industry, and key stakeholders.
