*Federal Register* notice: FDA has submitted to OMB an information collection extension entitled “Radioactive Drug Research Committees.” The collection supports agency regulations outlining the role of such committees in approving and monitoring basic research studies using radiopharmaceuticals, including reporting, recordkeeping, and labeling requirements. No basic research study involving any administration of a radioactive drug to research subjects is permitted without the authorization of an FDA-approved committee.
