*Federal Register* notice: FDA has submitted to OMB an information collection revision for “Human Drug Compounding Under Sections 503A and 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act” (OMB Control Number 0910-0800). The collection is being revised to include reference to the guidance entitled “Pharmacy Compounding of Human Drug Products Under Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.” The document communicates FDA’s intention to enforce section 503A of the FD&C Act to regulate entities that compound drugs and notes that parts of section 503A require rulemaking and consultation with a Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee to implement and explains how the provisions will be applied pending those consultations and rulemaking.
