INmune Bio Clinical Hold on TNF Therapy

FDA has placed a clinical hold on an INmune Bio Phase 2 trial for XPro 1595, a next-generation inhibitor of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) that is designed to neutralize soluble TNF without affecting trans-membrane TNF or TNF receptors. The company says the hold is related to an agency request for additional chemistry manufacturing and controls information. INmune plans to provide additional updates after further discussions are held with FDA, adding that a Phase 2 trial remains open in Australia and continues to enroll patients. “XPro could have potential substantial beneficial effects in patients with neurologic disease by decreasing neuroinflammation,” the company says.
