Joint Advisory Committee to Review Pain Drug

Federal Register notice: FDA has announced a joint Anesthetic and Analgesic Drug Products Advisory Committee and Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee meeting 2/14. The committees will discuss a Charleston Laboratories NDA for Hydexor, a fixed-dose combination oral tablet containing hydrocodone, acetaminophen, and promethazine, for the short-term management of acute pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic while preventing and reducing opioid-induced nausea and vomiting. Panel members will also be asked to discuss the abuse potential of this non-abuse-deterrent product and whether it should be approved. To view the notice, click here.
