KemPharm NDA for ADHD Prodrug

KemPharm has submitted a 505(b)(2) for serdexmethylphenidate, indicated for treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Serdexmethylphenidate is KemPharm’s prodrug of d-methylphenidate, the company says, adding that it has a 30 minute onset of action, a duration effect of 13 hours, and avoids unnecessary spikes in d-methylphenidate that may be associated with adverse events. If deemed reviewable by the agency, the company expects a 3/2021 user fee review action target date.
