Kimera Labs Marketing Unapproved Biologics: FDA

The CBER Office of Compliance and Biologics Quality says its review of the Web site for Kimera Labs, Miramar, FL, and other materials has found that the company markets exosome products to treat numerous diseases or conditions, including some that are serious or life-threatening. A 4/10 agency letter says the company also supplies products to healthcare providers, including Regenerative Solutions of New Jersey, which markets the Kimera products to mitigate, prevent, treat, or cure Covid-19.

The letter says it appears the company’s products would be regulated as drugs and thus can be lawfully marketed only under a BLA or IND. The agency told Kimera to take prompt steps to ensure that its products comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
