Hangzhou Linkeweier Daily Chemicals, Hangzhou, China (3/13) FDA inspected the firm 9/2019 and cited significant GMP violations for finished pharmaceuticals. For example, the company failed to conduct for each batch of drug product appropriate laboratory testing, as necessary, required to be free of objectionable microorganisms. It also failed to establish adequate written procedures for production and process controls designed to assure that the drug products the firm manufactures have the identity, strength, quality, and purity they purport or are represented to possess. DermaPharm A/S, Farup, Denmark (3/10): FDA inspected the firm 9/2019 and cited significant GMP violations for finished pharmaceuticals. For example, DermaPharm failed to have for each batch of drug product appropriate laboratory determination of satisfactory conformance to final specifications for the drug product, including the identity and strength of each active ingredient, before release. It also failed to conduct at least one test to verify the identity of each component of a drug product and failing to validate and establish the reliability of the component supplier’s analyses at appropriate intervals.
