MSM Nutraceuticals, Phoenix, AZ (10/24): FDA inspected the firm in May and cited significant GMP violations for finished pharmaceuticals. For example, MSM failed to perform, for each batch of drug product, appropriate laboratory determination of satisfactory conformance to final specifications for its drug products. Additionally, the company failed to establish adequate written procedures for production and process controls. To view the letter, click here.

Cadila Healthcare, Gujarat India (10/29): FDA inspected the firm in May and cited significant GMP violations for finished pharmaceuticals. For example, Cadila failed to clean, maintain, and sanitize or sterilize equipment and utensils at appropriate intervals. The company also failed to thoroughly investigate any unexplained discrepancy or failure of a batch or any of its components to meet any of its specifications. To view the letter, click here.

Swabplus, Rancho Cucamonga, CA (10/31): FDA inspected the firm in April and cited significant GMP violations for finished pharmaceuticals. For example, Swabplus failed to test samples of each component for identity and conformity with all appropriate written specifications for purity, strength, and quality. It also failed to conduct, for each batch of drug product, appropriate laboratory testing, and to establish the accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility of its test methods.
