# Latest FDA Warning Letters

FDA has posted its latest batch of Warning Letters. They can be accessed by clicking on the link following each letter.

**Ecometics**, Norwalk, CT (4/16): FDA inspected the firm’s drug manufacturing facility 9/2018 and cited significant GMP violations for finished pharmaceuticals. For example, the firm failed to establish and follow adequate written procedures for equipment cleaning and maintenance. Ecometrics also released drug products without testing for total aerobic microbial count and objectionable microorganisms. Additionally, it failed to use equipment that is of appropriate design, adequate size, and suitably located to facilitate operations for its intended use and for its cleaning and maintenance. **Strides Pharma Science**, Bangalore, India (7/1): FDA inspected the firm’s facility in February and cited significant GMP violations for finished pharmaceuticals. For example, the firm failed to establish an adequate quality control unit with the responsibility and authority to approve or reject all components, drug product containers, closures, in-process materials, packaging materials, labeling, and drug products. FDA said that during the inspection, its investigator observed discarded GMP documents and evidence of uncontrolled shredding of documents. The investigator also found a binder containing GMP records discarded with other records in a 55-gallon drum in the firm’s scrap yard. Documents in the binder were dated as recently as 1/21, which was seven days before the inspection began.
