Latest FDA Warning Letters

FDA has posted its latest batch of Warning Letters. They can be accessed by clicking on the link following each letter.

JC Ayur Life, Yorba Linda, CA (10/29): FDA recently reviewed the company’s Web site and Facebook page and determined that it takes orders for its product “Heritage of Ayurveda Dia-Tonic Incudil Herbal Dietary Supplement.” The letter says the product is considered to be a drug under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act because it is intended for use in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease. It also gives examples of the claims the company makes for the supplement and says it is legally considered to be a misbranded new drug. To view the letter, click here.

Desert Alchemist, Tucson, AZ (12/4): An FDA review of the company’s Etsy.com Web site indicates that it takes orders for eight products that are considered to be drugs under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
