Lexicon Dropping Zynquista After CRL

Lexicon Pharmaceuticals says it has made a strategic decision to discontinue launch preparations for its diabetes drug Zynquista (sotaglifozin) and focus solely on its development pipeline. A company statement says the decision to discontinue developing Zynquista was made before the firm received an expected Complete Response Letter from FDA addressing its NDA. The company had sought an indication for Zynquista as an adjunct to insulin therapy for glycemic control in adults with Type 1 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
