# Life Spine ProLift Expandable Spacer Cleared

FDA has cleared a Life Spine 510(k) for the ProLift micro Expandable Spacer System. The device is designed to support micro invasive procedures ranging from endoscopic transforaminal and posterior lumbar interbody fusion procedures, the company says. It features an 8mm width, self-locking expansion at any height (8mm to 16mm) to suit a patient’s individual pathology and anatomical conditions. The company says a new surgery process is under development that will give surgeons augmented reality and a 3D imaging system to view live endoscopic 3D video, interactive product images and pre-op/real time radiographs.
