Life Spine Prolift Wedge Clearance

FDA has cleared a Life Spine 510(k) for the Prolift Wedge Expandable Spacer System, described as a lordotic expandable implant for micro-invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion back surgery and posterior lumbar interbody fusion procedures. “The device maintains coronal alignment while achieving sagittal correction through controlled lordotic expansion of up to 15 degrees," the sponsor says. "The implant is designed with multiple implant heights and widths to fit a patient’s disc anatomy. Once the patient-specific correction has been achieved, the wedge is auto locked in position and can be packed with graft in situ through the company’s Osteo-Line Graft Delivery Device."
