Lotrimin Not Withdrawn Over Safety/Efficacy: FDA

Federal Register notice: FDA has determined that Schering-Plough Healthcare Products’ Lotrimin (clotrimazole) topical solution, 1%, was not withdrawn from sale for safety or effectiveness reasons. The determination means that FDA will not begin procedures to withdraw approval of ANDAs that refer to the product, and it will allow the agency to continue to approve ANDAs referencing it too as long as they meet relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
