# Malin Appoints von Eschenbach as Chief Medical Adviser

Malin Corp. has appointed former FDA commissioner **Andrew von Eschenbach** as the company’s chief medical advisor. Previously, he served as an advisory partner to Malin. Von Eschenbach currently wears many hats — serving as president of Samaritan Health Initiatives Inc. and an adjunct professor at Houston’s University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer center. He is also a board member of the Prostate Cancer Foundation and a senior fellow at the Milken Institute, a non-profit think tank.

In his new role at Malin, von Eschenbach will work with the management team and therapeutic assets staff, “with an initial focus on oncology and immuno-oncology related companies, including Poseida and Immunocore,” the company says.
