Market America Multiple Supplement Violations

A 5/21-5/28/19 FDA inspection at Market America, Greensboro, NC, found multiple violations in the firm’s distribution of dietary supplements that are contract manufactured for it under the firm’s name. A just-released 2/12 Warning Letter says the company failed to submit a Serious Adverse Event Report as required by law. It also says that several of the firm’s products are misbranded because they do not comply with labeling requirements for dietary supplements.

Market America was told to respond with a list of specific actions taken to correct the violations and prevent their recurrence, with documentation of each action and a timetable for completion of all steps.
