# Max Mobility Recalls Wheelchair Speed Control Dial

Max Mobility has recalled its Max Mobility/Permobil Smart Drive MX2+ SpeedControl Dial for wheelchair use due to a faulty circuit board in its speed control remote that could lead to loss of control of the device. If a loss of control occurs, this could result in minor and major injuries, a [recall notice](https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfres/res.cfm?id=211972&ref=fdaweb.com) says. FDA has determined that the cause of the malfunction is related to “component change control,” according to the notice.
