McGuireWoods’ Narver Leaving Practice to Rejoin FDA

McGuireWoods partner Clint Narver is leaving the law practice to rejoin FDA as director of the Office of Compounding Quality and Compliance (OCQC). His final day at the firm will be 8/21.

OCQC develops and implements federal drug compounding policy, oversees pharmacy compounders and outsourcing facilities nationwide, and runs the Compounding Quality Center of Excellence.

Before joining the law firm in 2024, Narver served as an assistant director of the U.S. Department of Justice Consumer Protection Branch, where he led investigations and litigation involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices, clinical trial fraud, drug diversion, healthcare fraud and food safety. He previously served in various roles at FDA’s Office of the Chief Counsel, where he supported the agency’s Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control program, advised the Office of Criminal Investigations, and counseled CDER and CDRH.
