Medical Technology Regulation Hearing

The House Energy and Commerce Committee Subcommittee on Health will hold a 5/2 hearing on “Examining Improvements to the Regulation of Medical Technologies.” A subcommittee news release says that earlier this month bipartisan leaders of the full committee and the Senate HELP committee released a discussion draft of the FDA Reauthorization Act of 2017 for PDUFA, GDUFA, MDUFA, and BsUFA.

As part of the effort to reauthorize the agreements, the release says, the subcommittee will consider additional bills consistent with efforts to support the review and regulation of medical devices.
