# Mesa Biotech’s Accula RSV Test Cleared

FDA has cleared a Mesa Biotech 510(k) for its Accula RSV test, a respiratory syncytial test cassette for diagnosing both children and adult populations. The Accula RSV test is the second molecular point-of-care diagnostic on the Accula platform to receive FDA clearance and follows the company’s Flu A/Flu B test cleared earlier this year. The company says the Accula RSV test is indicated for use with nasal swab collection, which is less invasive than nasopharyngeal swabs.
