Miller Named Acting Inspections Chief

FDA has named Elizabeth Miller acting associate commissioner of the Office of Inspections and Investigations (OII), replacing Michael Rogers, who retired from the agency earlier this month after more than 30 years of service (see story). Miller recently served as OII deputy associate commissioner for medical products, overseeing OII’s medical products inspectorate. Previously, she was assistant commissioner for medical products and tobacco operations, managing a significant number of FDA inspections relating to drugs, medical devices, biologics, bioresearch monitoring, and tobacco products, according to her bio.
