# Moderna Submits Covid Vaccine Booster Data to FDA

Moderna says it has started its submission to FDA for the evaluation of a 50 microgram booster dose of its Covid-19 mRNA vaccine. A company [statement](https://investors.modernatx.com/news-releases/news-release-details/moderna-announces-submission-initial-data-us-fda-its-covid-19?ref=fdaweb.com) says a Phase 2 study of the vaccine was amended to offer a booster dose at the 50 microgram level to interested participants six months following their second dose. 

“A booster dose of mRNA-1273 at the 50 microgram dose level boosted neutralizing titers significantly above the Phase 3 benchmark,” the company says.
