# Mylan Expanding Valsartan Recall

FDA says Mylan is expanding its consumer-level nationwide recall to all lots of valsartan-containing products within expiry. The agency notice [says](https://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm627647.htm?utm%5Fcampaign=FDA%20updates%20on%20angiotensin%20II%20receptor%20blocker%20%28ARB%29%20recalls%3A%20Mylan%20expands&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fsource=Eloqua) the 104 additional lots include 26 lots of amlodipine and valsartan tablets in various strengths, 51 lots of valsartan tablets in various strengths, and 27 lots of valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide tablets in several strengths.

The company says it is recalling the products due to detected trace amounts of N-nitrosodiethylamine contained in the active pharmaceutical ingredient valsartan manufactured by Mylan Laboratories.
