NDA to BLA List Updated

FDA has posted an updated list of approved NDAs for biological products that will be deemed to be BLAs as of 3/23/20. An online notice says that to “enhance transparency and facilitate planning for the 3/23/20 transition date, FDA posted a preliminary list of approved applications for biological products under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act that are listed in FDA’s Approved Drug Products with Therapeutic Equivalence Evaluations (the Orange Book) and that will be affected by this statutory transition provision.”

The agency says it seeks comment on the preliminary list and also said the list will be updated periodically before the transition date. The updated preliminary list is current through 8/31, it says.
