New HCP Drug Interaction Web Site

The CDER Office of Clinical Pharmacology has launched a new Web site for healthcare professionals (HCPs) to give examples of drugs that interact with CYP enzymes and transporter systems. The site says that clinically significant drug interactions involving CYP- or transporter system-based drug interaction classes are very common. It was created as a resource for HCPs to reference lists of examples of CYP enzyme substrates, inhibitors, and inducers and transporter system substrates and inhibitors with the potential for clinically significant drug interactions.

The examples were compiled and evaluated by the agency and will be updated at least quarterly.
